Review: L'Oreal Voluminous Butterfly Mascara

L'Oreal Voluminous Butterfly Mascara - $13.95 Canadian

Hey everyone, the other day when I stopped into my local Shoppers Drugmart I came across a new mascara. It was the Voluminous Butterfly by L'Oreal. The packaging (which I am a big sucker for) looked cool and there was an optimim point promotion was going on so I didn't mind spending a little extra on a mascara especially since I was running out and the brush was super interesting.

The brush for this mascara is super cool! It literally is like butterfly wings. On the back of the packaging it says "L'oreal has created an assymetrical, wing-tip brush featuring a unique shape to capture every lash from corner to corner and flexible arches to lift up the outer edge..." This is literally so accurate; I would also like to add that it is a rubber bristle brush which I love, so thats another thing to love about this mascara and it may just be my new favourite. The since the brush has that wing-tip I find that I can get into both corners of my eyes and get even the tiny little lashes that try to hide. This mascara is also a fibre mascara, which means that there are little fibres in the product that lengthen and volumize the lashes and leave them looking full and thick. Apparently this mascara adds 6x the volume, and since I hate math and don't even want to consider it, I would just like to say that it is very volumizing, and super super lengthing. I think the length is what I enjoy most.

Also I find that this mascara is very lasting, although it isn't waterproof I do not find that it smears down my face, smudges or flakes which is pretty good for a mascara since I do have oily-ish eyelids.

Overall I give this mascara an A++!!! I love the brush; it works well on both my top and bottom lashes, it doesn't smudge, it comes off easily with makeup remover, my lashes are covered from corner to corner and the fibre formula does wonders lengthening and volumizing my lashes!!! So my verdict is that I LOVE LOVE LOVE this mascara!!!!
