Manicure Monday: Butter London "Knackered"

Hey there Polishaholics today is Monday, so you know what that means...its Manicure Monday!!! The polish I'm writing about today is Knackered by Butter London.

 Natural Light (5 Coats)

I had first fallen in love with this polish when FleurDeForce had posted a picture of it on Instagram and talked about it in a video about a year ago. I looked for this polish at tons of stores, The Bay, Holt Renfrew and even a few salons that carried Butter London, but I never had any luck finding it, until two days ago when I finally came across it at The Bay.

 Natural Light (5 Coats)

There were a few deterants for buying this polish but I loved this colour and searched for it so much that I just could not resist. Firstly Butter London polishes retail for around $20.00 Canadian, which to me is extremely outrageous. Secondly this is my second Butter London polish, I never re-purchased from this brand because its over priced and I was super disappointed with the polish that I previously bought (Snog) because the formulatuion wasn't that good, it chipped pretty fast and the colour looked different on my nails as opposed to in the bottle. So I was very disappointed. But luckily it seems like Knackered is a lot better!!!

 Natural Light (5 Coats)

Now lets talk about Knackered...I really love this polish is a beautiful turquoise and purple duochrome with a very fine silver glitter through out the polish. Also Knackered is a very sheer, thin polish so on average 4 coats should be applied to make it opaque. In the photos above I used 5 coats, and you may be thinking that 5 coats of nail polish is insane!!!!!! but since its such a thin polish putting on 4-5 coats is perfect and it dries very fast.

Overall I am really happy with this polish, although I still can't get over the fact that it cost $20.00 I still really love it, and if I had to go back in time I would buy it again!!!

So guys what is your opinion on Butter London, would you spend $20.00 om nail polish???

Thanks for reading...
XOXO Gaborillaa :D

  1. I've never tried any Butter London products because of the price. However, this one seems lovely and I've always wanted to try a duochrome polish!

    1. Awee thank you, your comments always make my day :D anyways if your looking for a polish that is similar I would recommend Nifty Shades of Grey by Seporah by OPI, because its a very similar duochrome except it doesn't have the shimmer!!! I'll actually be writing a post comparing the two

  2. The nail colour looks lovely on your skin tone! Maybe if the price wasn't as steep I would purchase it!

    1. Thank you so much, I think this polish would be amazing on a variety of skin tones!!! And I know the price is pretty crazy, but there are dupes and I'll actually be writing a post about that in the future :D

  3. This color is so generically gorgeous. I absolutely love Butter London. My favorite is OPI (I will miss Sephora OPI) or Nails Inc. (they are both the most long-lasting, pigmented, diversified brands) followed by Chinese Laundry, Deborah Lippmann, and Milani. Estee Lauder's polish is amazing, but it doesn't come in a variety of shades. Recently, I have learned to appreciate Color Club which is amazing.
