Make Up For Ever Artist Palette For August 2014
Make Up For Ever Artist Palette For August 2014 - $48.00 Canadian |
So I've been naughty again and picked up more makeup....now since I've been on a bit of a blogging hiatus you guys have not seen all of the makeup that I've been buying lately but trust me I have quite a few new posts coming up and I am definitely a little ashamed about how much makeup I've been buying lately. Anyways when I saw Temptalia's post showing this palette I just knew I had to have it! I had been looking at the Kat Von D Monarch and Chrysalis palettes and I really wanted both, but when I saw this it reminided me of the palettes because it included a gorgeous bronzy orange monarch colour and the gorgeous purples that are similar to the ones in the Chrysalis palette; so I just knew I had to have this one! The colours all looked absolutely gorgeous and seemed to work perfectly together.
Now the palette contains 8 shades with only one of them being matte. The first 4 shades are more neutral where as the second 4 are much more vibrant and metallic. The formulation of these shadows are on point and are super pigmented and opaque. I watched Tarababyz's video where she hauled this palette and she described these shadows as being "thick" and I agree with that description. I'm not sure of another way to describe these shadows other than to say that they are thick and buttery, I absolutely love the texture.

Lush Shark Week Shark Fin Soap
I have been a huge shark lover ever since I was a kid. I've always loved swimming and the ocean and I have always dreamed of scuba diving and cage diving with sharks. I'm a pisces so maybe that's why I have such an affinity for the ocean and sea life but it has been a passion of mine forever. Now as I am older I have realized that our oceans are in danger along with the sharks...

Where have I been...???
Hey everyone, I know its been a long time and I am super sorry that I've been so MIA! Anyways I'm back and hopefully its for good.
To say the least 2014 has been a trying year for me and this summer has probably been one of my worst. This year I finished high school so the entire month of June so I was really burdened down with school. Then I was on holiday for the first two weeks of July one week in the Dominican and the second in New York. I have also been doing an online course which actually happened to finish today which I'm really happy about. But I think the worst thing that I've faced this summer was the death of my Grandfather, it was a really hard time for my family and I, but I find some comfort and solace in the fact that he is no longer suffering or in any pain.
Anyways bad news aside; I definitely know that I will be back into blogging because I finally got my new MacBook Pro (hallelujah) and now that I'm in university I have my classes spaced out so I'll have a bit more time hopefully! I hope you guys will be looking forward to my upcoming posts which will be coming soon.
On a brighter note I hope you all have had an amazing summer and got some time for rest and relaxation!
XOXO Gaborillaa ;D

Mac Alluring Aquatic Goddess of the Sea Lipstick
Hey everyone today I'm writing about ANOTHER Mac Lipstick that is from the Alluring Aquatic Collection. Now I totally have wayyyy to many Mac lipsticks but I literally could not resist the packaging and I knew that I had to have at least one item from this collection! I snapped up the lipstick Goddess of the Sea when it released in stores yesterday.
Mac Maleficent Lipstick True Love's Kiss
Hey my lovelies today I am going to be doing a quick little review on a new lipstick from the recent Maleficent Collection from Mac. To be quite honest this collection was very lackluster and boring and most of the products were permanent items or re-promotes so I only ended up grabbing this lipstick. The Maleficent collection comes in limited edition packaging that I do not find too impressive; its just shiny black plastic with "Disney's Maleficent" written in silver on the front over Maleficent's wings printed on with a matte black. Overall a pretty boring collection which is sad because Mac could have really done a lot with this collection and it definitely did not live up to Mac's previous Venomous Villains Collection.

Influenster imPress Manicure Vox Box
YAYYY the time has come again when I was chosen to receive a VoxBox from Influenster!!! I was super excited when the little box came in the mail and even more excited when I realized that it was a box filled with nail stuff. Anyways Influenster and Broadway Nails was kind enough to send me two sets of the imPress Press on Manicures. Now I am a huge polishaholic and pride myself on taking care of my nails and doing some pretty cool nail art; but lately since I have been playing sports like water polo and rugby I don't have time for nail art and I'm constantly having to keep my nails super short which is a huge annoyance. So when I received these nails I was excited to have something nice on my nails again.

Urban Decay Electric Palette Mini Review + Eye Looks
Hey everyone today I just wanted to do a mini review on the Urban Decay Electric Palette which I purchased about a week ago. Now I know literally EVERYONE in the beauty community has already reviewed this palette, so that's why I'm keeping it short and sweet; I just want to share a few of my thoughts and show you guys how I've been using this palette :D
Revlon Amazing Spiderman 2 Collection Review
This weekend the highly anticipated film The Amazing
Spiderman 2 came out and let me assure you it was an excellent movie! I went
to see it opening night and it was absolutely incredible, I've always been a
fan of superheroes and comics ever since I was little so when Hollywood decided to reboot all of the
classics I was completely ecstatic!!! Although the original Spiderman trilogy
starring Toby Maguire will always have a special place in my heart; this
new remake is just as good, and plus I cannot get enough of that hunk Andrew
Garfield and Emma Stone which is one of my favourite actresses!!! Anyways
enough about the movie... Lets get on to the makeup.

Mac Playland Haul and Review + Swatches
Hey everyone I really, really want to apologize for being so absent from my blog lately! March and April were SUPER stressful months because of school, sports and just daily life in general! Anyways I'm back and I have done a TON of shopping; so you'll be seeing a lot of me in the near future!! ;D
Anyways today I'm going to be talking about the Mac Playland Collection that came out last Thursday. The Playland collection was a super bright and colorful collection composed of four eyeliners, four pigments, four lipglasses, six lipsticks and three casual colours. So overall it was a decently sized collection. In addition although most of the products including all of the lipsticks and lipglasses were limited edition; they still came in the standard black Mac packaging. Also to be quite honest this is the first Mac collection that has actually enticed me besides the Rihanna Collections, I feel that lately Mac has been really off their game and that their products in the new collections aren't the same quality, their powder products are dusty and lip products patchy... So I was finally happy when I found some really neat products in this collection.

Sephora Divergent Multi-Piece Collector's Kit
Hey everyone
do I ever have an exciting blog post today!!!!! As many may know the greatly
anticipated movie adaptation of the book DIVERGENT is coming out this Friday!!
And of course we all knew that they had to make some type of cosmetics to go
along with the release to draw in all of the teenaged viewers (like me sadly)! Sephora teamed
up with the Divergent franchise and created three different sets, a nail polish
set a multi-piece palette and the mother of all collectors pallet which is what
I picked up! I was super excited when I heard that Sephora was releasing a
Divergent line
because combining my love of beauty and books is something that
I cannot resist, anyways let's get
on to the review of this set.

Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette Review
Hey everyone today I am going to be reviewing the Urban Decay Naked 3 palette, now I know the entire world has probably already reviewed this product but I spent so much time writing this review when I first got my Naked 3 a few weeks ago that it would be a shame not to post it!!
Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette - $62.00 Canadian
Now onto Naked 3, the Naked 3 Palette is the third in a collection of palettes from Urban Decay; the original Naked palette came out about 2 years ago then the Naked 2 came our last year and this year we were all anticipating the release of the Naked 3.

Mac Lipstick Rebel
Hey everyone ANOTHER Mac Product to talk about today, and it is Rebel Lipstick. This lipstick has caught my attention for quite a while now and I've been dying to pick it up and on Friday I finally did. This is going to be a quick little post so lets get into it.
Mac Rebel Lipstick - $16.00 Canadian
Rebel is a Satin finish lipstick that is a plumy red colour. It isn't too red or too plum but is just right in the middle. As you can see in the picture above it leans a bit more red and in the picture below it leans more plum. Although Mac describes Rebel as a "midtonal creme plum" I find that it can look a little different on every person depending on lip colour and lighting, but for the most part it looks like a plum with red tones. This lipstick wears for a very long time and even stains the lips a bit which can be amazing or a hindrance sometimes. I find that Rebel looks gorgeous on all skin tones and its a perfect colour for the fall and winter because although its dark it does not look too vampy; which makes it much more wearable. Overall I am very pleased to have this lippy in my collection and I cannot wait to start wearing it.
(excuse the appearance of my hands they get super dry during the winter)

Mac Magnetic Nude Collection: Sweet Heat
Today I went SHOPPING, all of the money and gift cards that I got for Christmas were burning a hole through my pocket and I needed a few essentials so I hit up the good ole mall. Of course I walked by Mac which has recently released a ton of new products so being the make up junkie I am how could I resist. I was planning on picking up two eyeshadows Amorous Alloy and Sweet Heat, but Amorous Alloy was sold out so I only got sweet heat. Anyways I'm totally in love with Sweet Heat and I know I'll be wearing it a ton in 2014.

A Very Lush Christmas
Happy New Year everyone, and I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and Holiday season. I went away to Rivera Maya, Mexico this year for Christmas so that is why I haven't been as active on my blog lately. Anyways I'm back and here to start 2014 off with a bunch of posts. This year for Christmas I was treated by two of my aunts to a treasure trove of Lush products. They were spot on in getting me the exact things that I wanted; the Bombardino Bath Bomb, Cinders Bath Bomb, Santa Lip Scrub, and Ro's Argan Body Conditioner. Lately I have been Lush obsessed and I have been using A LOT of their products lately.
First up is Bombardino...
Limited Edition
Vegan
Bombardino - $5-10
(this was a gift and I couldn't find the price online so this is an approximate price)
Lush claims that Bombardino is a rich and creamy bath bomb that is inspired by an after ski drink made in the Italian Alps with eggnog, brandy, and whipped cream. Although inspired by a drink Lush's Bombardino was made to smell like a lemon meringue pie and contains cocoa butter which leaves skin feeling soft.
Next up is Cinders...
Limited Edition
Vegan
Cinders Bath Bomb - $4.95
Cinders Bath Bomb contains almond oil, sweet orange and cinnamon leaf essential oils which smells AHHHMAZING and super festive; and the popping candy makes Cinders crackle when you pop it in the bath which is supposed to sound like a crackling fire. This probably has to be my new favourite bath bomb and I'll definitely be buying it next Christmas.
Then Santa's Lip Scrub...
Limited Edition
Vegetarian
Santa's Lip Scrub - $8.95
Lush Lip Scrubs are some of my favourites especially when my lips are chapped and I already do love the Mint Julep lip scrub so I was really excited to try the Santa's Lip Scrub. I love that this scrub is cola flavoured so licking it off is twice as fun (and this lip scrub is made out of edible ingredients like sugar and edible heart sprinkles so its completely safe to eat; not that I would recommend eating this by the jarful...)
Lastly is Ro's Argan Body Conditioner...
Permanent
Vegan
Ro's Argan Body Conditioner - $32.95
I've heard a lot of Youtuber's talking about this product most notably Allison from Amarixe and Ingrid from MissGlamorazzi and all they've done was rant about how great this product was so of course I had to check out Ro's Argan. I am also a über lazy person and therefore I do not like moisturizing after the shower so this body conditioner is perfect for me because I can apply the body conditioner to my body and not have to moisturize again after the shower. This is also perfect for soothing your legs after shaving. One con to this product is that it is pretty expensive so I would recommend going into your local Lush and asking for a sample; so you can see if you like the product.
